650 vs 1000

The title is pretty clear, which one should I get? I like that the 650 is cheaper, but the 1000 has more power and is advertised for longer journeys. I do a lot of highway driving, so I think the 1000 will be a better choice, but I like to get an option for the 650 on longer cruises

The 1000's extra oomph will likely make long hauls less tiring since you won't have to downshift as much to pass.
